Blum assigned to Milwaukee…

Per Kevin Wilson inside Nashville Predators Media Relations, defenseman Jon Blum has been assigned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

As Seth Lake very astutely pointed out via Twitter, this is what the Preds would have done with Colin Wilson last season when they just, frankly, ran out of warm bodies to put on the ice.

The Rancho Santa Margarita, California native was a healthy scratch in back-to-back games this past week. Before Thursday night’s contest in Columbus, he had never been scratched in his brief NHL career.

The coaching staff must see more in rookie Roman Josi than they do in Blum right now.

The official press release is below.
