PRESS RELEASE: Brian McGrattan clears waivers, officially assigned to Milwaukee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 27, 2013) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that forward Brian McGrattan has cleared waivers and been assigned to Milwaukee (AHL).

McGrattan, 31 (9/2/81), went scoreless and posted four penalty minutes during a two-week conditioning stint with Milwaukee from Feb. 15-24. The Hamilton, Ont., native has appeared in two games for the Predators in 2012-13. A season ago, he was claimed on waivers from Anaheim on Oct. 11, 2011 and played 30 games, notched two assists and recording 61 penalty minutes.

The Predators take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Honda Center at 9 p.m. CT (SportSouth: 1676 HD, 26 SD and 102.5 The Game) in the first of a three-game, West Coast road trip that takes the team through sunny California with stops in Anaheim, San Jose and Los Angeles.

The team returns home for back-to-back tilts at Bridgestone Arena on March 8 vs. the Edmonton Oilers (College Night presented by Taco Bell, Hal Gill Growth Chart giveaway presented by BlueCross BlueShield) and March 9 vs. the Minnesota Wild (McDonald’s Family 4 Pack Night.
