So now we wait.
The 27-year old prize of the 2012 free agency class is believed to be making his decision between four teams: the Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators.
Suter knows the Preds well, having spent all seven of his NHL seasons with the club. The Wild and Red Wings both visited the former Wisconsin Badger at his Madison, Wisconsin home yesterday and the Penguins have been rumored as “pushing hard” for his (and fellow free agent Zach Parise‘s) services since they cleared cap space by trading center Jordan Staal at the NHL Draft.
Whether Suter chooses his old team or not, General Manager David Poile will undoubtedly hold a press conference once the decision is made public. Follow us on Twitter (@cellblock303) for up-to-the-minute news and notes.
