Nashville Predators Assistant General Manager Paul Fenton joined 1250 WSSP in Milwaukee tonight and delivered some cautiously optimistic news on injured goalie Pekka Rinne.
Could he be ready to go before the Olympic Break concluded?
Fenton was asked about Pekka possibly coming down to Milwaukee on a conditioning assignment.

Fenton: We’ve done our homework on him. He’ll still be able to have a conditioning stint at some particular time…

Fenton: it could be split into a week at a time so that he could come down and maybe finish before the Olympic break….

Fenton:…. and then just before the Olympic break is over, he could come down. — Ryan B. Miller (@RyanAdmirals) January 28, 2014
Fenton: We’ve looked into it, but again, we’re not getting ahead of ourselves here. — Ryan B. Miller (@RyanAdmirals) January 28, 2014
Fenton: Pekka is feeling really good. I watch him work out regularly in the gym, but not on the ice.

Fenton: He’s just starting to get to that skating position. (paraphrasing now)..he knows it’d be a treat for fans in MKE to see Pekka again

What do you think, Preds fans? We finally have a time table (of sorts) on when Rinne could take the ice again. Encouraged? Too late to salvage season? Just happy for him? Excited about the possibilities? Let us know in the comments section below.
