Nashville, Tenn. (April 9, 2012) – The Nashville Predators will host Games One and Two of their 2012 Western Conference Quarterfinals series with the Detroit Red Wings, presented locally by Fifth Third Bank, starting this week at Bridgestone Arena with Game One, brought to you by Nissan, this Wednesday, April 11 at 7 p.m., Game Two, brought to you by Tennessee Lottery, on Friday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. and Game Five, brought to you by Land Rover Nashville, next Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. (if necessary). Doors will open two hours prior to each contest with plaza parties taking place three hours prior to faceoff (weather permitting).
All fans in attendance at Game One will receive Fuel The Fan cards from MAPCO and Gold Out T-Shirts courtesy of Nissan (supporting T-shirt sponsors include Bridgestone, Fifth Third Bank, Hunt Brothers Pizza and 102.5 The Game). Attendees of Game Two will receive Gold Out T-Shirts courtesy of the Tennessee Lottery (supporting T-shirt sponsors include Bridgestone, Hunt Brothers Pizza, AT&T and 102.5 The Game). Gold Out T-Shirts will be provided by Land Rover Nashville (supporting T-shirt sponsors include Bridgestone, Fifth Third Bank, Hunt Brothers Pizza and 102.5 The Game) for Game Five (if necessary).
“Playoff season in Smashville is the best time of the year” Nashville Predators Chief Executive Officer Jeff Cogen said. “We battled hard for 82 games to accomplish our first goal of securing home ice. Now we are ready to make our mark and fight for our ultimate goal of bringing The Cup home to Smashville.”
The Predators and Red Wings will kick off the series, the third postseason matchup for these two clubs, this Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena. Game Two is scheduled for Friday. Both games will be televised locally on SportSouth (Comcast channel 1676 HD, 26 SD), the sister station of FOX Sports Tennessee, the television home of the Nashville Predators. The series then turns to Detroit for Games Three and Four.
If additional games are necessary to complete the best-of-seven series, play will resume in Nashville for a Game Five on Friday, April 20, return to Detroit for Game Six on Sunday, April 22 and conclude in Nashville for Game Seven on Tuesday, April 24.
SportSouth and NBC will televise the Preds-Red Wings 2012 Stanley Cup Playoff Western Conference Quarterfinals, presented locally by Fifth Third Bank. All games will be televised in high definition. Lexus Predators LIVE postgame coverage with play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and color analyst Terry Crisp will follow all game telecasts on SportSouth.
