Shea Weber leads Canada to second straight Olympic gold medal

Team Canada shutout Team Sweden in Sochi, Russia this morning, 3-0, to capture their second consecutive Olympic gold medal.

Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber served as an alternate captain on this year’s Canadian squad and, of course, was a member of the 2010 team as well.

Thanks to his assist on the game-winning goal today, the former Kelowna Rocket tied Los Angeles Kings blueliner Drew Doughty as Canada’s leading scorer. Weber finished with three goals and three assists for six points.
