The Tin Roof to host NHL TweetUp to benefit flood victims…

Save the date: Monday, June 7th.

In an effort to support the victims of the recent floods in Middle Tennessee, the Tin Roof at 1516 Demonbreun in downtown Nashville will host an NHL TweetUp. The event goes from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm Central and will help raise financial support via a silent auction on site.

Dani Muccio of NHLTweetUp.com and Mark Willoughby of TheViewFrom111.com have combined forces and reached out to all 30 NHL teams and have managed to secure several donations for a silent auction.

Obviously, the team to donate the most was the Nashville Predators. The home town team donated several items including a David Legwand autographed jersey, two different team autographed hatch print posters and even a signed poster of Ryan Suter and Shea Weber wearing their respective Olympic medals. Head Coach Barry Trotz even took it upon himself to donate four game tickets and a locker room tour. Items will continue to come in until the day of the event so stay tuned to the official event page for updates.

If you can’t make the TweetUp in person, that’s okay, there’s still a way for you to bid on items and help out! An eBay charity auction has been set up by Willoughby featuring items donated by other NHL teams. Items included are a Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin autographed Pittsburgh Penguins puck, a Washington Capitals baseball cap signed by Norris Trophy finalist Mike Green, and many other items! Click here to bid on the items. And remember, if you don’t win, you at least helped raise the price!
