You like it? You love it? Ok, you’ll get some more of it.

Courtesy of the NHLPredsInsider Twitter account, we’ve discovered this little tidbit:

@NHLPredsInsider: @codeyh just confirmed, goal song will go back to Mr. McGraw.

So rest easy Predators fans, the opening act for Rock and Roll, Pt. 2 is still in place.

Be sure to follow the NHLPredsInsider account on Twitter, as we’ve gotten photos from Ft. Campbell, the 3rd jersey right before it was unveiled, and I’m sure more behind the scenes to follow.

You know what I’d like to see? A fresh recording of “I Like It, I Love It” by some of the music stars currently around the team, like Vince Gill, Taylor Swift, etc. That, and they should dump “Rock and Roll, Part 2″. Does convicted pedophile Gary Glitter get any residuals off of that? I’d hope not…

I agree that it could be time to investigate something new, but that’s what focus groups are for! Just throwing something, already being used by another team, is interesting at best.

I like Dirk’s idea, but I think we can step it up to having someone actually right a song for the team.

Either way, some so-cal guys moaning into a mic doesn’t do much to rep the team. We like the fact that our team is a nice middle finger to the NHL establishment with stuff like the mustard jersey, the catfish on the ice, and yes, country music. Taking the Pennywise song as our new goal anthem… doesn’t fall in line.

Plus, it would be positive press with an original song.
