Pekka Rinne to Milwaukee in rehab stint?

Pekka Rinne (Sarah Fuqua)

Nashville Predators Assistant General Manager Paul Fenton joined 1250 WSSP in Milwaukee tonight and delivered some cautiously optimistic news on injured goalie Pekka Rinne.

Could he be ready to go before the Olympic Break concluded?

Special thanks to our friend up in Milwaukee, Ryan Miller, for passing along the outstanding news. You can follow Ryan at @RyanAdmirals on Twitter.

What do you think, Preds fans? We finally have a time table (of sorts) on when Rinne could take the ice again. Encouraged? Too late to salvage season? Just happy for him? Excited about the possibilities? Let us know in the comments section below.

So, I guess we’ll be able to send Peks down to the AHL and bring him back up without him having to go through waivers, because there’s no way he would ever make it back to Nashville through waivers and I never want to lose Rinne!
