Admirals get reinforcements for their playoff run…

The 2013 NHL campaign may be over for the Nashville Predators but six of their prospects still have more hockey to play.

Defenseman Victor Bartley along with forwards Daniel Bang, Taylor Beck, Kevin Henderson, Chris Mueller and Joonas Rask will resume their seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville’s AHL affiliate.

The Ads made the playoffs on the final day of the regular season and are playing the Texas Stars in a best-of-five first round series. The two teams are currently tied 1-1 with game three coming Wednesday in Cedar Park, Texas.

Jim Diamond of The Examiner is reporting that Filip Forsberg will not join the Admirals because he is headed back to his native Sweden in order to — wait for it — finish high school.

Bartley led all Milwaukee defensemen in scoring when he was recalled by the Predators on March 6 and Beck was the team’s leading scorer in 2012-13, despite playing for the big club since March 19.

The official press release is below.
