Preds send Ellis back to Milwaukee…

The Nashville Predators have sent defenseman Ryan Ellis back to the Milwaukee Admirals this afternoon.

The blue chip prospect and Canadian Major Junior legend was recalled on Friday due to Victor Bartley being out with an illness. Ellis being reassigned leads one to believe Bartley will be back in the lineup this afternoon against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Puck drops on this must-win game for Nashville at 2:00pm Central inside Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville, Tenn. (April 6, 2013) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Ryan Ellis to Milwaukee (AHL). Ellis was recalled on Thursday under emergency conditions.

Ellis, 22 (1/3/91), logged a career-high 20:11 and put a personal-best four shots on goal in Thursday’s game against Columbus. He has six points (2g-4a) in 32 games with the Predators this season, and 10 points (4g-6a) in 24 games with the Admirals.

The Predators face-off against Chicago today at a special start time of 2 p.m. CT for front end of a back-to-back, home-and-home series with the Blackhawks (FSTN, 1675 HD, 28 SD, 102.5 FM The Game). Saturday is also a PEDIGREE® Dog Adoption Day at Bridgestone Arena. Approximately 25-30 dogs from New Leash on Life, Metro Animal Care & Control and Nashville Humane Association will be available for adoption on the plaza starting at 11:30 a.m. Adoption fees will range from $85-135, inclusive of spay/neuter and all vaccinations.
