The section303.com Legwand-O-Meter has expired.
David Legwand has scored a goal.
At the 2:41 mark of the 2nd period, Legwand beat Scott Clemmensen on a wrist shot. It was his first goal in 34 games and 11th of the season.
Legwand’s last goal had been an empty netter on January 2 against the Ducks. He registered 11 points during his goalless period while the Predators achieved an 18-13-3 record.
The following Predators/former Predators scored goals during Legwand’s drought:
- Patric Hornqvist (16)
- JP Dumont (9)
- Shea Weber (7)
- Jason Arnott (6)
- Martin Erat (6)
- Steve Sullivan (6)
- Joel Ward (6)
- Colin Wilson (6)
- Cody Franson (4)

Legwand’s goal also marked the first goal he had scored on an actual goalie since December 31 of last year, a span of 35 games. Legwand has now tied his career-low for single season goals, excluding the 2005-06 season when he only scored 7, but also missed 38 games with a knee injury.
One should also note that during the streak, Legwand did register two shootout goals, both against Ilya Bryzgalov and Phoenix:one on February 2 and one on March 25.
