ADMIRALS SIGN FORD, CAHILL TO AHL DEALS
Ford Returns to Ads for Fourth Season
Milwaukee, WI— The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that the club has signed defenseman Scott Ford and forward Chris Cahill to one-year AHL deals.
Ford completed his third season with the Admirals last year, tallying career highs in games played (80), penalty minutes (164), and +/- (10). During that time he has competed in 204 games, recording 25 points (7g-18a) and 376 penalty minutes, which is the second most on the team over that span. The Fort St. John, BC native has also skated in a total of 29 post-season contests, including 13 during the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs with Milwaukee. After playing four years at Brown University, Ford made appearances with the Cleveland Barons, Bridgeport Sound Tribes and Providence Bruins before joining the Admirals.
Cahill will begin his first professional season after skating in two games with the Admirals during the 2010-11 season. The Haverhill, MA native recently completed four years at Yale University where he had a breakout senior season, posting 15 goals and 19 assists as well as leading the team in penalty minutes with 64.
