303 QUICK POLL: Would you start Lindback tonight?

section303QUICKPOLL

The Nashville Predators have finally clinched a playoff spot. So why play Pekka Rinne tonight? Well, it’s because, if they win, they have a legitiate shot at home ice advantage for the first round of the post season. But, this is also the first opportunity to rest Rinne who’s started 34 of the last 36 games. And when the playoffs come, obviously Rinne will be playing in all of those (barring injury of course).

So… if you’re Barry Trotz, knowing home ice advantage is on the line, do you start Rinne or Anders Lindback?

It’s not a “legitimate shot” at home ice. If they win in regulation or OT (not shootout), they clinch home ice/number 4 seed no matter what else happens.

I am agreeing with Dan. Win tonight clinches Home Ice and Number 4 seed. So you have to play Pekka.

I would absolutely start Anders the Giant! It would give Peks a breather before the playoffs and give Anders some playing time before the playoffs just in case we need him.

I don’t know results are not in for the Vezina Trophy are they? I’d love to see Peks win this year. Not sure how many more points he needs to take the top spot……so it’s a iffy situation. Not really sure what I would do……

    Keep Rinne in there!
