REPORT: Admirals sign goaltender Scott Darling
- Updated: July 22, 2013
According to Justin Goldman of The Goalie Guild, the Milwaukee Admirals have signed former University of Maine Black Bears goaltender Scott Darling.
Goldman also notes that he’ll be ranked number five on Nashville’s depth chart, putting him behind starter and two-time Vezina Trophy finalist Pekka Rinne, free agent signee and anointed back-up Carter Hutton, Admirals starter Magnus Hellberg and 2012 seventh round pick Marek Mazanec.
It stands to reason that Darling will start the season with Nashville’s ECHL-affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Darling, 24, has spent his three professional seasons bouncing around from the SPHL, ECHL, UHL and AHL.
We’ll post the official press release as soon as it’s available.
